GOD WINKS!!!
Shane this brings tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing. What a message!
I find it very motivating to read stories and information about great young minds who look adversity in the face and laugh at it. Kids are the most fearless and determined people in the world and your son's story is a proven fact of that. He is lucky to have a caring and loving family that you and your wife have provided for him. You can deny it all you want but his attitude and outlook on life are a direct reflection of your wife, your family, and you. Keep up the good work!
I am very happy to here his medication has been cut and he has began to eat on his own. Please keep sharing you stories because when people need a reality check to understand how blessed they are your son makes them stop and think. I am sure he is a very happy young Hoosier fan that can't wait for the next game. He inspires myself and others to be giving and grounded in our lives. Once again thank you!
Thank you for sharing, all praises to God!
That is an amazing story! I am reading that same book right now! I did not know another one is coming out soon. I truly believe every bit of those "coincidences." God bless you and your family.
Awesome! I love God's winks!!
Brilliant; absolutely brilliant. May I have permission to copy and put in my "sermon ideas" folder for possible future use?
I believe in godwinks too and I believe you have been sent a clear message from God so keep believing and resting in his peace that all will be fine:) Many blessings...
When you think of basketball and how much we both love it and have dreams and desires to better our careers. Sometime simple reminders gives me a clearer perspective. There are more important things than basketball
I was pleased to see the message from you to our corporation. Several of my Facebook friends keep up to date with you and I don't even know you or your family, but I click on what I see posted by them each time. I am inspired seeing what strength and caring you have for your son, family and others. I got goosebumps throughout reading your message. I have said prayers for your son each time I see a new post. Please know even strangers you may never meet are concerned and thinking of your precious baby boy. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
You are all a God wink to us. I want to share this with my church!
Thank you for putting life into the correct perspective.
Today as I was checking my email I was shocked to find this one from you. I have been praying and thinking of you and your family. I am so happy to receive the update. Shane and Becky I want to say this. I was told my daughter would never live to make it out of the hospital. Well, on her last birthday she turned 23. Do not let anyone tell you that you or Ayden can not do something or that this illness will take his life. You see God has given you Ayden for a reason and he only knows what that reason is. You as parents just do like the rest of us with special needs children. Thank God every day when you wake up that all of you can touch someone in a positive way and that you value the time that he is with you make memories. You know something: God may just like the memories and give you a lifetime, but most of all cherish because he teaches you. I am so glad that he has made it to the point he has he has somewhat proved them wrong. Continue proving medical people wrong. You see they are NOT God.
I want to thank you for this wonderful blog and for sharing it with us.
Thank you for sharing this. I really didn't know the extent of Ayden's syndrome, so this helped to explain some things. As I have aged, I have come to recognize all of those Godwinks, and to me, there's no possible way to explain those so-called coincidences other than to know that it's the hand of God. You couldn't have composed a more charming story and it's especially beautiful to know that it's a true story. Thanks for sharing.
This is awesome. I really loved being able to read about Ayden. Isn't it amazing the way that God works in such amazing ways. I hope all is well with your family. I will continue to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh my gosh, thank you Shane for sharing such an uplifting story! Yes, the tears are streaming down my cheeks, but my heart is bursting with love for you and your family just to know how you appreciate every day and are so willing to share your thoughts and appreciation of life. I may not be the Vatican...but I will keep your family in my daily prayers. Thank you again for sharing and have a wonderful, restful weekend. And I am sure God is winking at you this very instant!
It looks like God is working out His goodness towards you and your family and gaining much glory through your trials. Keep your eyes on Him because He is the author and finisher of our faith and He is faithful to complete that which He has started. I praise Him for bearing your son's sickness on the cross. I thank you Jesus for becoming disease and carrying all of our burdens. I thank you Lord that by Your stripes Ayden is healed. In Jesus name. Amen.
God bless you and may you continue to grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus.
Your story has helped put things in perspective for me. I consider myself a good father and I spend most of my free time with my children (though it wouldn't seem like it with how much time I spend on here). However, sometimes I don't appreciate how lucky we truly are. Definitely going to be giving them big hugs when I get home.
I will pray for Ayden and your family and will try to share his story with as many as I can.
